No, It’s Not A St Helier Hospital Fashion Show!

This Is Me,
Wearing One Of My Onesies,
Yes, I Do Have A Onesie
Or Two,
Or Three!

The script in ‘Black’ relate to the fourth afternoon after I was admitted into St Helier Hospital and it’s what I sent out to family and friends.

Since one is in a sort solitary confinement when in hospital, especially when you are a COVID-19 patient, if you are not lucid, there will be no way of knowing what is going on in the outside world.

Now, being in solitary confinement (as a lucid) patient is not a negative situation where you are being starved and beaten each day…

…and neither is the case if you are bed-bound!

On the contrary, it’s quite the opposite but since I had no benchmarks and nobody who knew me, I thought I would take some pictures of myself as I was sure I was ‘looking’ starved!

Each time I looked in the mirror, whilst in St Helier Hospital, I was appalled at my appearance!

I spent two weeks without an appetite (therefore, I was not eating) and a further two weeks lying in my bed where I was immobile and even though I was eating, I still was not eating enough…

…so by the time I was admitted to St Helier Hospital, I was near to skin and bone!

So here, you’ll find pictures of me after I had started to eat again and when  my food arrived, I wolfed it down but without eating too fast as to cause cramps and indigestion.

You’ll also see the very first meal I had which was on Friday the 3rd of April 2020, which was supper as I literally was starving!!!

You’ll find the timelines go in and out and back and forth but stay with me, stick with me, as everything will come together, as the main aim of this site is to help you and your loved ones deal with the COVID-19 and give your life (back) to CHRIST, whether COVID-19 comes a knocking at your door or not!

I Was Wolfing Down
My Food!

Monday the 6th April 2020 – Day Four In St Helier Hospital

No it’s not a St Helier hospital fashion show…

…it’s to show you how I look, physically.

I have lost a lot of weight where I am an even thinner version of the already thin(?) me.

But first, let’s back it up a bit to show you the very first meal I had in St Helier Hospital, where not being sure what to order, I ordered this:

And it was not enough but I knew I would be able to tank up on the following day.

Okay, okay, I know it does not look that appetising but it was the best I could do in the way of ordering, as being offered a menu, took me unawares and by surprise…

…and I just fancied some mashed potatoes, some broccoli and I think that was a fish pie I ordered or something…

…but or should I say, it was delicious and it went down a treat and easily as when I had lost my appetite, even to chew food felt like hard work.

Boy oh boy…

…I was a mess!!!

So let’s get onto showing you how I looked way back on Monday the 6th April 2020 as I do not look like that now…

…as I have since put on a fair amount of weight, thank GOD!

The pictures below are of me in St Helier Hospital on Monday the 6th April 2020, dressed in my hospital pyjamas and protective mask.

I had to wear the mask to protect the NHS staff.

And can you see my updated 4.0 Earplugs I made, whilst in the hospital?

So, in your eyes, how do I look?

Answers on a postcard, please or you could reply to this post, if you wish where the latter option is the best and only way to reply.

I know for a fact I have lost muscle, puppy(?) fat and/or weight from my face.

If we didn’t have mirrors, we would have no idea what we looked like as where I felt okay, I was shocked to see how thin I am (or was).

Does anyone remember that scene in the film Papillon, where Steve McQueen asked another prisoner how he looked (after he, Steve McQueen had been imprisoned for many years) and had no idea what he looked like?

When Steve McQueen was first imprisoned, another prisoner who had apparently been imprisoned for many years before him asked the now new prisoner Steve McQueen the very same question being:

“How Do I Look?”

To which Steve McQueen’s answer were words to the effect of:

“Swell, You Look Swell!”

Which is exactly what the now new prisoner who was looking upon the very weary bedraggled and worn face of Steve McQueen said to him:

“Swell, You Look Swell!”

Where Steve McQueen knew he did not look swell…

…or well!

…so honestly, in those pictures of me above:

“How Do I Look?”

I’ll give you the numbers re: what I used to weigh as to what I weighed in the images above.

Bible Verse:

Do Not Worry ]
“Therefore I Tell You,
Do Not Worry About Your Life,
What You Will Eat Or Drink;
Or About Your Body,
What You Will Wear.
Is Not Life More Than Food,
And The Body More Than Clothes?”
